Yes summer is finally here, after months of cold, wet and generally terrible weather we are starting to see the SUN shining through and the trees starting to gain their foliage again. It makes us all feel better just to have it light in the mornings.
And we start to travel about the place and to different parts of the UK. Recently I have visited Newport in Gwent, Bristol, Cardiff and my local town Cwmbran.
Some visits were in connection to my work; others to visit friends & clients of the ID card business, and again some parts of my visits have been dual purpose in a business & pleasure visit to different areas of the towns and cities. The sunshine makes visits to different place that more enjoyable when you can take your time and maybe stroll in the sunshine in between meeting people.
Hopefully the next couple of months will give us good weather and provide us all with the enthusiasm to get out in the countryside and enjoy the sights and sounds that it brings. I am fortunate that I live and work close to and sometimes within rural communities so that I am able to enjoy the benefits of that lifestyle with out a great deal of problems. I still need to visit the city's regularly as the people their are the ones who normally use my ID cards and Access control products. Well the next city on my must do list is Manchester. A city I have not visited for a number of years, looking forward to my latest visit next month. In the meantime I will go on printing up my plastic cards for individuals, associations and companies, throughout the UK and especially the Newport, Cardiff & Bristol regions.
That's all for this short statement, more info on ID cards etc next time.

In a voluntary capacity I an Deputy International Chairman for the security association "IPSA" www.ipsa.org.uk. International Professional Security Association.
IPSA exhibited at the Counter Terrorism exhibition at the QE 2 center over the 10th & 11th of this month. I was fortunate to be able to support my association and promote Spectrum Positive from the IPSA stand on the 11th.
It proved to be a very interesting day and well worth the 4.30 am rise from bed to catch a 5.30 train into Paddington station, then the tube to St James Park station for the short walk to the QE 2 center. Their was quite an interest in our services and I hopefully generated interest in my ID Card Bureau and Biometric Fingerprint recognition software through out the day.
By the end of the day I felt that it had been a good event for my association and it hopefully raised the profile of both IPSA & Spectrum Positive. Look out for more events and happenings in this blog space.

Holiday time nears, and I am just getting in the swing of things and packing all the essentials for my trip. This year I am having eight days seeing the mountains & glaciers of Switzerland.
And for a difference I am going by rail, no driving or traffic congestion. From south Wales to London then onto Mulhouse in France then over to Chur in Switzerland. All a new experience for me. I am informed that the scenery is stunning. All the while I am taking my Id card with me so that I am able to video it's progress through the different towns and cities for my video blog.
First I need to finalize the template for a local drug awareness charity, so that their ID card will be ready for print, that is for later in the day. Looking forward to see what the new card requirement's await on return from my break. Will share experience on my return.

In tune with the British pastime of complaining about the weather"What a Week" it seemed that it has rained everyday, it certainly has in my little part of Wales, never mind it could be worse. Look at the flooding in Northern Ireland. The bonus for me is that I live on a hill. If the water ever get to me; a lot of others are literally in deep trouble. Well that's my moan for today. What is new in the world of Amazing ID cards. Produced some new Id cards for a Yorkshire company that specializes in keeping the windows of firms in that area nice and clean. Redesigned a new Id for a local Welsh company specializing in property surveying, only a small job but nice return work.
And what is the rest of this week going to bring, a little more card work I hope, and having to cut the lawn a definite"rain permitting". And maybe a visit to my local tonight.

Today's photo Identity cards are amazing; cards with vibrant colors, unsurpassed security features, cards that have the ability to project a quality image better than ever before. By new technical design's & information holding capabilities, Technologies that in previous years would have not been achivable, are now the norm. Card images are crisp and are able to reflect your organizations status through their high quality image's. Providing the organization "cards" that your staff will have pride in wearing.
Card image quality can in some instances resemble sharp glossy photo, the images are sharp and the colours vibrant, it can be all down to the quality of the jpeg or the standard of the graphic design.
To enhance the printed images we are able to apply further finishes such as "top coat" A very thin film over the image; "over laminates" A thicker film covering the image, which provide's the printed surface protection from enviromental factors such as salt's from our skin and general wear and tear; enhancing card durability.
Who may require quality plastic cards; many organizations and business'es use plastic cards in different ways, most have a requirement for ID cards for basic security, other organizations such as charities use ID cards for their support staff, especially those that work in direct contact with the public. Many cards have bespoke design which allow for company logo's and other images to be directly printed onto the cards. Text, Bar Codes, Holographic design's, Magnetic Stripes, Chip's are all available to be utilised in any card design. Then we can move on to smart cards which move your card into a new field of secure design. the application and available technologies are many, and the design of the images is only limited by one's imagination. info@spectrumpositive.co.uk
