Following on from my last post "ID card goes traveling" away we go on holiday. We had not left London before the gremlins struck. Mother cuts her finger open on hotel door, she manages to lock herself in the ladies loo in Montana. I am sick all over Chur station & I leave my camera bag in the security scanner in Paris Eurostar departure lounge. On the return journey, not to be seen again as yet.
As to the chances of seeing my handy cam again I am not holding out a great deal of hope. Lesson for the future do not leave your bag on Eurostar, it will be gone with the fairies.
Also of course go all the holiday pictures and some material for use on my websites. My the time we came home we needed a holiday to get over the initial one so I drove to Poole in Dorset for a couple of days, returning via Dawlish to visit a colleague of mine who I worked with many years ago.
Then of course I required to play catchup and sort out the inquiries for ID cards etc, which had arrived over the holiday break. That is all sorted now although it has taken up to now to bring everything up to date. Even if I had the remaining time available before the end of the year I think that I would have to go to work for a rest after that holiday experience. Never mind onwards & upwards we go.
